How To Use EmailScout

Be sure to pin extension to your Chrome Toolbar for easy access.

EmailScout is a powerful Chrome extension designed to help you easily collect and save email addresses from any webpage. Follow this guide to get the most out of EmailScout.

Installation

  1. Install the Extension:
  • Go to the Chrome Web Store.
  • Search for “EmailScout”.
  • Click on “Add to Chrome” to install the extension.
  1. Pin the Extension:
  • After installation, click on the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the Chrome toolbar.
  • Find EmailScout in the list of extensions.
  • Click on the pin icon next to Email Scout to keep it accessible in your toolbar for easy access.

Basic Usage

Enabling EmailScout

  1. Activate the Extension:
  • Click on the EmailScout icon in the Chrome toolbar to enable it. Then pin it to your Chrome Toolbar for easy access.
  • The extension will start scanning the current webpage for email addresses.
  1. Toggle On/Off:
  • In the top left corner of the EmailScout popup, you’ll find an on/off toggle.
  • Use this toggle to turn the extension on or off. Turning it off will prevent it from counting towards your email limit on the premium plan.
  • In some instances, keeping EmailScout on will slow down website browsing, so we recommend turning it off when not in use.

Saving Email Addresses

  1. View Found Emails:
  • Once enabled, EmailScout will display a list of all email addresses found on the page.
  1. Save Emails:
  • CSV: Click on the “Save as CSV” button to download the list of email addresses as a CSV file.
  • TXT: Click on the “Save as TXT” button to download the list as a text file.
  • Clipboard: Click on the “Copy to Clipboard” button to copy the list of email addresses to your clipboard.

Premium Feature: Auto Save

Auto Save is a premium feature that allows you to automatically save email addresses as you browse from tab to tab, without having to go back to the extension and export emails on each page you visit.

Enabling Auto Save

  1. Upgrade to Premium:
  • Click on the EmailScout icon and select “Upgrade to Premium”.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the purchase. You will receive a token in your email that must be placed in the token field inside the extension itself. If you do not receive this email after a few minutes, please check your spam folder.
  1. Activate Auto Save:
  • Once upgraded, click on the EmailScout icon and toggle the “Auto Save” feature.
  • As you browse, EmailScout will automatically save email addresses from each fully loaded tab.

Using Auto Save

  1. Browse Normally:
  • Navigate to different webpages as you normally would.
  • Ensure each tab fully loads before moving to the next one.
  1. Access Saved Emails:
  • Click on the EmailScout icon to view the list of saved email addresses.
  • Use the “Save as CSV”, “Save as TXT”, or “Copy to Clipboard” options to export the list.

Premium Feature: URL Explorer

URL Explorer is a premium feature that allows you to paste up to 1,500 URL’s. The extension will then visit and scrape emails from each URL. This feature is useful for creating massive marketing lists quickly. Some popular AI models will generate lists of websites for you, which you can then paste into URL Explorer.

Enabling URL Explorer

  1. Upgrade to Premium:
  • Click on the EmailScout icon and select “Upgrade to Premium”.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the purchase. You will receive a token in your email that must be placed in the token field inside the extension itself. If you do not receive this email after a few minutes, please check your spam folder.
  1. Go to URL Explorer:
  • Once upgraded, click on the EmailScout icon and click “URL Explorer”.
  • We’ve created a Test Demo within URL Explorer so that you can quickly see how it works. When URL Explorer is running, you must not click anywhere on the extension or in your browser or URL Explorer will stop working and you will have to run it again.
  • When you are ready, enter your list of URL’s into the field (one URL per line) and then click “Launch URL Explorer” to start scraping. A CSV file of all found emails will be generated once all website are visited.

Troubleshooting

  • Emails Not Found: Ensure the webpage has fully loaded. Some dynamic content may take time to appear.
  • Auto Save Not Working: Make sure each tab is fully loaded before switching. Auto Save only works on fully loaded pages.
  • Contact Support: If you encounter any issues, click on the “Contact” link in the EmailScout menu to get help.
